Ecofriendly Wedding Photographer
WHAT I STAND FOR, IS WHAT I STAND ON!
I LOVE animals, exploring nature and discovering places that my eyes can't believe are real !
I feel really sad every time I see the damage we have caused to our planet. It is our home and it is irreplaceable. That's why through the years, as I became more conscious of it, I decided to take action and responsibility for my choices.
I changed my lifestyle and discovered there are SO MANY things we can do to help protect the environment. Like living more plastic free, buying less and appreciating small and ethical businesses, taking the less polluting transportation means, having a vegetarian and vegan alimentation, prioritize farmers and organic markets, the list goes on and on !
THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS PERFECTION
I'm not perfect and I don't think anyone can be, I'm just giving it my best shot !
I still have a long way and so many things to learn during this amazing ride we call life.
I know I'm just one person in this big blue world. But I also know that if each of us contributes and we do our best, the small actions will grow bigger and the negative impact on the planet will be smaller.
ECOFRIENDLY AND ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES
When I started my own business it was essential for me to reflect and share my ecofriendly values through my work. It wouldn't make sense to do otherwise. It's important for me to be coherent and represent who I really am, so that my clients can relate and hopefully share the same thinking with me :)
So I decide to create this small page on my website to share with you my commitment in terms of sustainability and environmental friendly practices:
I never print brochures, visit cards, stationery...I try to do everything online as much as possible. If I do use papers, I recycle/reuse them and also try to find eco-friendly paper.
In general, I try to produce as less waste as possible. I did for example, some wedding festivals and the stands I built were all made and decorated by upcycling, finding objects on thrift shops, re-using and re-cycling glass and things from my own house.
When I send things to my clients, like the USB key, I always try to find a packaging that is sustainable. For 2020-2021 seasons, I found beautiful handcrafted palm leave's boxes made by a Colombian community. When I was visiting my family I put as many as I could in my bag and brought them to France. I don't know what I'll have for next season but it'll be definitely something that represents me and that respects the environment.
As you might have noticed already, we love traveling ! When we do, we try to take the train. Car and plane are always our last option.
In the city, we use bicycles all the time, we walk, we take the metro, we share cars with other people...
SHARING IS CARING
I donate 3% of my profit to different NGOs that dedicate their efforts to protect the environment, wildlife conservation and human rights.
I have a list of organizations (you'll find it below) that I love the most and whose work I believe is genuine and has a real impact.
I give my couples and clients the option to choose which which NGO they'd like to donate to.
This way I can keep contributing to good causes and help others whilst doing what I love .
A year ago, together with a couple a friends we created Midori Collectif.
MIDORI is a website, blog and collective dedicated to ecofriendly weddings. Our aim is to inspire bride and grooms to organize environmentally friendly weddings and find the perfect, local and committed vendors for them.
In the future we'd like to organize events where you'll be able to see the vendors in person and find all the eco-friendly options in the industry of weddings.
